I took this picture in my house a couple of weeks ago, I made no edits to it, and I liked it because of how the lighting made his feathers look. 

Sydney A. - 70's Auto

This image was shot earlier this school year. I shot it outside in front of my house, it's one of my neighbors trucks. I chose this subject because I love the nostalgic feel the truck has, the paint job is also my favorite color. I like that this photo looks warm and antique, as it matches the 70's style automobile. I made some edits to this photo such as increasing the whites because it was a little under exposed I also darkened the curves and added an antique filter effect.

I took this picture of my sister downtown, we weren't sure what the building was but it looked like a bank. This was from one of my first photo shoots I ever had and it was one of my favorite out of any of the pictures I've taken from any shoots. The only edit I did to it was fade the color. I really liked it because it was just different, and I love the way there is a big window and a small window. And I like how it doesn't look posed.

This photo is of my cross necklace. It was shot on August 25/2011 and it was shot at my house. I took this photo because I love this necklace. I made it with my vacation bible school kids last summer. The edits I made to this photo was changing the sharpness and the color and the de-noise.

This picture I took this summer in Torquay, England. I edited this photo in iPhoto and boosted the color and enhanced the saturation. This is one of my favorite picture I've taken because of all the bright color in the picture and because of the location. I also like the way the sunlight is coming off the water. Also the kayaker in the water stands out more in his red kayak.

This photo was taken about two weeks ago in my backyard. I took this picture because it shows one of my favorite stores to shop at. What I like about this photo is the angle that I took it at and the edits I made were boosting the contrast and saturation.

Morgan Ann C. - My Dog, Champ

This photo was shot about 3 weeks ago. This was shot out side behind my house. This was a photo  for the about me assignment. I like it because of the way it shows the profile of the dog. I like the way his expression is and how his mouth is open just a bit to show his tongue and teeth, also how he just isn't looking straight at the camera. The general edits are I change the original photo from color to black and white. I sharpened it and I also gave it more definition.

This a photo i took this week when i was driving on South Shades Crest Road. I had always wanted to take a photo on the road because it makes cool effects like the picture i took. I didn't edit the photo at all, but i think it has cool effects by itself.

Michael J. - Kalmar Castle

I choose this picture for the blog submission because I like the composition, the clarity, and the memories that come with it. This castle is in Kalmar, Sweden. I took this picture on my summer trip to Scandinavia. I edited out a couple of this in this picture to increase the visual appeal. I used the clone tool to remove a couple odd things like a piece of trash and a branch in the water.

I took this picture this summer in July. I was staying with my aunt, uncle and cousins in Louisville, KY. There's something about flowers that really catches my eye and I love getting to take close up shots of them. They're a great subject to shoot, especially because the don't move! I really like the way it focused and how the background is blurred out. I think when I edited it, I boosted the color and saturation and blurred the edges.

This picture was shot when my sister came in town for college over the weekend and we wanted to do a fun project. It was at my house on the back porch. I shot this because I loved the colors of the crayons and how vibrant they were. I brightened the colors an added a little bit of shadow.

This was shot this past sunday, in my backyard out by my pool. I thought it would be a  cool shot with the spider web, and how i zoomed in. I liked how clear it turned out and how you can see the little details of the spider web.

This is a shot of my favorite view from the mountain. I took this the 27th of September of 2011. I took this shot because I wanted to remember the location as it was that day. Everything is perfectly laid out and the shadows across the valley add interesting light across the photograph. I did nothing to edit this photo because I liked it the way it was.

This is a picture of a drawing that i doodled during history class. I like this picture a lot because of the angle of the shot. I also like that part of the picture is semi blurred… I edited this picture by just messing around with the different adjustments.

This picture was shot about three weeks ago at the Gwin Elementary playground. I took this picture when my friend Reagan sat down and started playing the little out of key piano. All i did was boost the color and make it sharper.

I  shot this picture August 23, 2011. It was shot at my grandma's house. I shot this image because I'm going to pledge to be in the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority my sophomore year in college. I like the colors in this image. I faded the image 4 times.

this is one of my favorite pictures of my brother ands son (my nephew) Blake. i took this when we went down to the beach on a family trip while we were sitting underneath our tent. i like the lighting and how you can see the reflection off of tyler's sunglasses. i also like the clouds in the background and i think Blake looks adorable!

I shot this picture September 7, 2011. It was was shot in my bedroom on the floor. I was playing with all three of my trumpets and i decided to take a picture of them. I really love the contrast of all of the different valves. I increased the exposure and decreased the saturation a little bit.

This is a photo of my cat that I took a few weeks ago for the About Me Project.  I took it in my front yard when she was laying in the landscaping.  I like this photo because my cat's eyes look very bright and her face is very in focus and so are a couple of blades of grass in front of her.

I titled this picture The Game of Life. It was shot during the shooting of our about me projects. It was shot in my drive way. I took it because softball used to be my life. I played it year around. This is the first year in 13 years for me not to be playing. I like it because fielding was my favorite part of the game. I edited the shadows and definition of the image. And i made the image be antique.

This image was shot around a month ago when my younger snake was eating for the firs time. The picture was shot in my house in the kitchen. It was shot because I think it is really cool that he was picking up the mouse to eat it instead of eating him on the ground. I like the focusing in the picture. His head is close to the camera but his body is still in focus. It is really cool to me. There were no edits made to this photo.

This picture was taken a month ago. This was shot at my girlfriends house in her driveway. I shot this photo because it seemed like the rust was eating away at the metal. I like how the rust has changed the look of the metal interlay. I cropped in on the photo and enhanced the color. I also sharpened the photo and took away some of the shadows.

It was taken about a month ago in a Vestavia Shopping Center. The picture is good because the front of the picture is in focus. And also you can see the the rain in the back ground.And the detail of the sidewalk is very detailed.

This image is called Crackle. I named it this because of the multiple different cracks that appear on the rings of metal. This picture was shot about 3 weeks ago outside a dance studio. I took a picture of this image because I liked how it is rusted and looks old. I also like the dry cracks the rings have on them. To edit I enhanced it and definition and sharpness.

This photo was taken about two weeks ago in my home. I like the colors and the way it's framed, and how only one of the kanji is in perfect focus, and the others are blurred. I brightened the photo, sharpened it and added a little saturation.
